முதுகு கூன் / முதுகெலும்பு வளைவு (scoliosis & kyphosis) ஒரு சரி செய்ய முடியாத நோய் என்றும் அதற்கான அறுவை சிகிச்சை ஆபத்தானது என்றும் நமது சமூகத்தில் ஒரு தவறான கருத்து உள்ளது. இவ்வாறான குறைபாடுள்ள குழந்தைகள் வறுமை மற்றும் அறியாமையினால் சிகிச்சை ஏதும் இல்லாமலேயே தங்களுடைய வாழ்நாளை கழிக்க வேண்டிய கட்டாயத்தில் உள்ளனர்.
சேலம் SKS மருத்துவமனை முதுகுதண்டுவட அறுவை சிகிச்சை பிரிவு இம்மாதிரியான குறைபாடுள்ள குழந்தைகளை அறுவை சிகிச்சையின் மூலம் சரி செய்து இந்த சமூகத்தில் நிமிர்ந்து நடை போட வைக்க உறுதி பூண்டுள்ளது.
வறுமை கோட்டிற்கு கீழ் உள்ளவர்களுக்கு இந்த சிகிச்சை அரசு மருத்துவ காப்பீட்டுத் திட்டத்தின் மூலமாக இலவசமாகவும் அளிக்கப்படுகின்றது. எங்களுடைய இந்த சிறிய முயற்சியின் விளைவாக பயனடைந்த குழந்தைகளைப் பற்றிய கையேடு இத்துடன் இணைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. படித்துப் பகிர்ந்து மற்றவர்கள் பயனடைய உதவி செய்யவும்.
